New Genre for Pot Thief?
The Albuquerque Journal ran an article on December 18th about books published in 2009 related to New Mexico that they recommend. One sentence said, "The best-selling adult book in this little shop is the paperback The Pot Thief Who Studied Pythagoras (Oak Tree Press, $15) by J. Michael Orenduff. It's a lowkey mystery set in Albuquerque's Old Town." Maybe having it described as an "adult book" will help me raech a new audience? The explanation is that the previous paragraph was talking about books for children. The article was picked up by the website AllBusiness, which generated a googlr alert for me, so that's how I found about the the newspaper piece.

ReplyDeleteEveryone I gave it to has liked it so far.
I look forward to reading the second one soon.
I have a long list of books (just check me out at goodreads.com) to read but I will put your's on it.
ReplyDeleteI see you started your blog just a few days after I started mine (Jan 6th, 2010).
I made -3- (yes you read that right!) comments on your interview at bloginterviewer.com and am here to make good on my promise to visit here.
BTW, if you don't already know about http://www.goodreads.com check it out.
It also features "goodreads authors". You should become one as it might help sales too. Anyway, good luck with the blog and your book.
